Tatum was privileged to recently host a hit 2 day event presenting Studioart, the exciting Italian design company specializing in leather wall covering, to a select Singapore audience. The Tatum events showcased Studioart’s 10th Anniversary Collection to highly appreciative clients and enthusiastic press whilst fine Italian delicacies and wines were enjoyed in the presence of Studioart designer, Massimo Brancati, and sales representative, Michele Ascione.
Studioart, founded in 2006, is a young entrant into the specialist market of leather wall coverings. Born of the creative intuition of Nadia and Gianfranco Dalle Mese, Studioart is deeply rooted in a long tradition of leather processing. In 1967 Giuseppe Dalle Mese founded the original tannery which over the years grew from a craftsmanship-based company into an industrial group that is now considered a standard bearer of excellence in the internationally renowned tanning district of Vicenza.
Vast craftsmanship experience fused with creativity, continual technological innovation, visionary foresight and commitment to a pioneering spirit have been the key ingredients to the success of this historic family business. It was a natural extension to decide to bring this precious know-how into the field of interiors.
This is what Studioart had to say, ‘The 10th year anniversary celebrates our core product, Leatherwall. Over the years we have deepened our knowledge in leather and improved our production skills to meet our clients’ demands. In designing this new collection, we accepted a double challenge: on the one side, we, at Studioart, decided to re-examine existing shapes to explore new combinations and, on the other, we asked emerging young designers to reinterpret the Leatherwall concept. The different backgrounds and creative approaches of the designers involved is very visible throughout the line, whilst the common theme remains the versatility of leather as a design material.’
