The Thai Silk Company was established in 1951 by Mr. James H. W. Thompson, an American architect who on first visiting Thailand became enamored with the country and its beautiful silks. Today, Jim Thompson is the world’s largest producer of handwoven fabrics, continuing the vision of its founder by working with local artisans to create silks of the finest quality. The brand now encompasses a more complete breadth of fabrics including durable materials suitable for the contract market, an outdoor range, and a bespoke collection of wallpapers and trims. Alongside Jim Thompson, the brand is also behind No.9 Thompson, Studio B, and recently acquired British brand Fox Linton.

Jim Thompson is active in 63 countries worldwide with showrooms in Paris, London, Munich, Atlanta, and Bangkok. Clients include high-end residential and commercial projects, private jets, and super yachts.Β

Jim Thompson fabrics are exclusively available in Malaysia at Tatum Company.
